FSFE needs money

Change starts with explaining causes to people. Our campaign video
illustrates the benefits of public code for our society and the video
also explains this issue to people with less technical background.

If we want to achieve our goal, it is important that this discussion
reaches people outside of the technology bubble. For that, it is crucial
to translate the campaign video into more languages.

We already have the video in English, French, and German. This means the
video can already reach more than half a billion people worldwide in
their first language. We would like to raise this to over one billion in

The next languages will be Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. The
Italian translation will directly be used to push our demand "Public
Money? Public Code!" towards politicians and the general public during
their upcoming elections. The costs per language are around €900,
including editing the script, professional speakers and studio costs.

Please help us raise the €3600 for translations of the above-mentioned
languages and help us reach out to more than one billion people in their
native language.

With your donation, we can push for Free Software in the 2018 Italian
election, cover more EU languages for the 2019 EU parliament election,
and support Free Software advocates worldwide to make publicly funded
software Free Software by default.

Together we can make a change!

Thank you for your support,
